Hi there, our cousin Cpl Andrew returned from Afghanistan little while ago and he came by to visit us last Saturday. With so much going on with current events, we were stoked to see him. While my Dad was making margaritas, pouring Tecates and I was grill'n away, his visit reminded us of just how kick'n our young Americans are; friends and moral war fighters. Let me put it this way...
While he was oversees, Andrew and I emailed each other back and forth. It was good to see how he was doing. There were times I would happily stay up past 1 am, so that I could pass some jokes and ask him about his tour. I got to know Andrew a little better... he's a tough, thoughtful, and a humble individual. You know... a MAN. Before his deployment, it was really something for Candice and I to see our "SoCal/Hurley" cousin(s) look at us with sincere faces that told, "Alright..See you later...I am going to fight for us." So was his return visit cool? Hell ya! The drinks and the food tasted a little better last Saturday. Saludos amigos...Cheers!
